Brand Throughput and Additional Vetting

Edited

What Is Brand Throughput?

When you register a 10-Digit Long Code (10DLC) campaign, your messaging throughput—the number of messages you can send—is determined by:

  • The type of campaign you create

  • Your brand’s trust score

For T-Mobile, throughput is measured at the brand level, meaning:

Every campaign under the same brand shares the same daily segment pool.

📊 Example

If Brand A has three campaigns running under it, and the brand’s throughput is 2,000 segments/day for T-Mobile, those 2,000 segments are split among all three campaigns combined.

Note: Some campaign types, like Low Volume Mixed, have fixed throughput limits that override brand-level pooling.

Here’s a diagram to help explain:

What’s a Segment?

A segment is typically 160 characters of SMS or the size of one MMS message. Learn more about segments here.

🔓 Unlocking More Capacity: Additional Vetting

If you need to send more messages than the default limit allows, you can apply for Additional Vetting.

🧠 What Is It?

A third-party vetting agency (Aegis Mobile) reviews your brand's submitted information and assigns a trust score from 1 to 100.

Higher score = More daily messages.

🚀 Why Is This Important?

  • T-Mobile increases daily segment limits based on brand trust score.

  • AT&T increases messages per minute (TPM) at the campaign level, but the vetting score still influences it.

🎯 What Impacts Your Trust Score?

  • Company age (older = better)

  • Number of employees (more = better)

  • Reputation (fewer complaints = better)

If information can't be verified, you might receive a low score—but don’t worry, you can appeal it by submitting additional documentation.

How to Apply via Signal House Portal

  1. Go to the Brands tab on the left-hand navigation panel

  2. Click on the brand you want to apply vetting for

  3. Scroll to the Vetting Details section

  4. Click Apply for Vetting

  5. Choose Standard Vetting

    • Only choose Political for political campaigns

    • Choose Enhanced if you're looking for throughput beyond standard. There is an increased cost for this, and a delay in getting the review completed
