Number Health Feature
We've rolled out a new feature called Number Health, which helps determine how healthy a number is at any given point in time. Its health is based on two main factors:
Delivery Rate
Opt-out Rate
Number Health is measured across two different time frames — 7 days and 30 days.
If the number has no messaging activity in the last 7 or 30 days, respectively, data will show 'N/A'.

How is the number health calculated?
The Number Health score is calculated as the average of two key metrics: delivery rate and opt-out rate.
The system assigns each metric a score out of 10 based on its percentage. The higher the delivery rate, the higher the delivery-rate score. Conversely, the lower the opt-out rate, the higher the opt-out score. These two scores are then averaged to determine the overall Number Health score.
Here's a quick example:
Over the 30-day period, this number had a deliverability rate of 89%, so the system assigned it a score of 9 out of 10. Its opt-out rate, on the other hand, was 0%, which is excellent, so it received a score of 10 out of 10.
The overall Number Health score is then calculated as:
(Delivery Rate Score + Opt-out Rate Score) / 2
In this case: (9 + 10) / 2 = 9.5
So, the number’s overall Number Health score is 9.5/10.
How to use this feature to improve your performance?
If a number’s Number Health score drops below 6, it’s recommended to rotate the number. Deactivate the current number and purchase a new one as a replacement. A low Number Health score typically indicates poor deliverability, a high opt-out rate, or both. Over time, carriers and upstream partners may start treating messages from such numbers as spam.
However, it’s always a good idea to quickly skim through the logs first to rule out temporary issues. For example, if you forgot to add funds and continued sending messages, those messages would fail and negatively impact the deliverability rate, which could lower the Number Health score. That doesn’t necessarily mean the number itself has become unhealthy.
So, review the logs first. If there’s no temporary or account-related issue and the number genuinely has poor deliverability or increasing opt-outs, it’s best to rotate the number.
✅ TL;DR
Number Health reflects a number’s deliverability and opt-out performance.
Rotate the number if its Number Health score drops to 6 or below.
